Acclimation Kit – Drip Line

Drip acclimation is widely considered the most effective method for introducing sensitive fish, shrimp, and corals to a new aquarium. This kit includes everything needed to perform the process correctly: 1.5m of airline tubing, an adjustable flow-control valve, and a bucket clip to secure the airline without it slipping.

By controlling water to drip at 1–3 drops per second from the tank into the transport container, the new animal is gradually exposed to the tank's temperature, pH, hardness, and salinity over 30–90 minutes. This slow equalisation dramatically reduces osmotic stress compared to the float-and-pour method.

Especially critical for sensitive invertebrates such as crystal shrimp, neocaridina shrimp, and marine organisms, the drip method can be the difference between a successful introduction and unexplained losses in the first 24 hours.
