Acriflavine 1% Solution 30ml

Acriflavine is a mild antiseptic and antifungal agent widely used in fish breeding to protect eggs from fungal overgrowth and to treat early bacterial infections in newly-hatched fry. At a 1% solution it can be used as a prophylactic treatment in egg incubation water or as a treatment bath for infected fry. It is considered gentler than many other treatments, making it appropriate for delicate newly-hatched larvae that cannot tolerate strong medications. Acriflavine is particularly popular among killifish and egg-scatterer breeders. Use at the recommended dilution — typically 1ml per 10-20 litres — and perform a partial water change 24-48 hours after treatment. Avoid prolonged exposure to light, as the solution is light-sensitive.
