Albino Paradise Fish

The Albino Paradise Fish is a true albino morph of Macropodus opercularis, produced through selective breeding. The absence of melanin creates a pale cream-to-pink background that contrasts beautifully with the retained reddish banding and striking red eyes.

Behaviour and care are identical to the standard form. Albino individuals may be marginally more sensitive to intense lighting, so providing some shade with floating plants is beneficial. Males remain territorial and should be kept one per tank unless the aquarium is large and heavily planted.

Albino Paradise Fish are prized by collectors and make a dramatic display fish in a species or biotope tank replicating rice-paddy conditions.
