Anubias barteri 'Round Leaf'

Anubias barteri 'Round Leaf' is a cultivated form selected for its unusually rounded, almost orbicular leaves that set it apart visually from the typical arrowhead-shaped Anubias. The circular leaf silhouette provides a satisfying geometric contrast to elongated fern fronds, grassy carpets, or stem plants. It grows at the same characteristically slow pace as other Anubias varieties and shares all the same care requirements.

The plant attaches to rocks and driftwood via its creeping rhizome and will occasionally produce submerged white spathe flowers. It is an excellent choice for Dutch-style layouts where rounded leaf forms create visual rhythm, or in nature aquascapes as a bold-leafed midground accent.

Maintenance is minimal — simply ensure the rhizome is never buried, remove any yellowing leaves promptly, and dose liquid fertilisers monthly to sustain the deep-green leaf colour.
