Anubias barteri var. angustifolia

Anubias barteri var. angustifolia is the officially recognised narrow-leafed botanical variety of the widely cultivated Anubias barteri. It produces distinctly elongated, lance-shaped leaves on a creeping rhizome that advances steadily over driftwood or rock in the aquarium. Its slender leaf form offers a refreshing contrast to the broader-leaved Anubias varieties and works particularly well in naturalistic aquascapes seeking a finer-textured aroid element. Like all Anubias barteri forms, it is extremely hardy and tolerant of low light, poor water conditions, and minimal fertilisation. It can be attached to hardscape or planted in substrate — both methods work equally well.
