API General Cure

API General Cure combines two antiparasitic active ingredients — metronidazole and praziquantel — in a single powder sachet formulation, providing dual-mode action against a wide spectrum of parasitic infections. Metronidazole targets internal protozoan parasites such as Hexamita and Spironucleus (associated with hole-in-the-head disease), while praziquantel eliminates monogenean and digenean flukes, tapeworms, and flatworms.

This combination makes General Cure one of the most versatile parasitic treatments available, able to address both internal and external parasitic infections in a single treatment course. It is particularly valued for treating newly acquired fish as part of a quarantine protocol before introducing them to a display aquarium.

General Cure does not contain antibiotics and will not harm beneficial filter bacteria when used as directed.
