API pH Up

API pH Up is formulated with potassium carbonate to increase aquarium pH quickly and safely. It is the companion product to API pH Down, and together they give aquarists direct control over water pH to match the requirements of their specific fish species.

The alkaline adjustment is most effective in soft or low-KH water; in hard water with high natural buffering capacity, larger doses may be required to achieve a meaningful pH increase. For a durable pH rise in hard-water cichlid tanks, combining pH Up with a KH-raising product provides more stable results.

API pH Up is suitable for freshwater aquariums and should always be used alongside a test kit to verify results before and after dosing.
