API Pimafix

API Pimafix is formulated with pimenta racemosa (West Indian Bay Tree) oil extract, a natural compound with antifungal and mild antibacterial properties. It treats cotton-wool disease, true fungal infections on fins and body, and some gram-positive bacterial infections that present similarly to fungal conditions.

Pimafix is designed to be used alone for purely fungal conditions or combined with API Melafix for a comprehensive dual-action treatment covering both bacterial and fungal co-infections — a common combination in the aquarium hobby. Its natural origin makes it gentler than many synthetic antifungals, suitable for use in community tanks.

Like Melafix, Pimafix does not harm biological filter bacteria when used as directed, allowing treatment to take place in the main display aquarium.
