Aquarium Chiller Flow Indicator

The Aquarium Chiller Flow Indicator is a transparent in-line fitting installed on the inlet or outlet tubing of an aquarium chiller. A small floating ball or paddle wheel inside the clear body rises and spins when water flow is sufficient, providing an instant visual confirmation that the chiller pump is operating correctly and delivering the minimum flow rate the chiller requires.

Inadequate flow is one of the most common causes of chiller overheating and compressor failure — the chiller generates heat during refrigeration, and if flow stops while the compressor runs, temperatures inside the chiller unit climb rapidly. The flow indicator acts as a low-cost diagnostic tool that makes this risk immediately visible.
