Aquarium Heating Cable 100W

The Aquarium Heating Cable 100W extends the benefits of substrate heating to larger planted aquariums up to approximately 200 litres. The increased length and wattage provide sufficient heat output to warm the substrate of wide or long aquascapes evenly, ensuring no cold spots form in remote substrate corners far from the main filter circulation.

Laid in a grid pattern beneath a 5–8cm substrate layer, the cable's gentle radiant heat stimulates beneficial microbial activity in the substrate and drives nutrient convection toward root zones. When controlled by a quality external thermostat, the temperature differential between substrate and water column remains modest and stable.

The 100W model is a favourite for Iwagumi, Nature Aquarium, and Dutch planted aquascapes in larger tanks where pristine plant growth is the primary objective.
