Aquarium Sponge Pad – Fine

Fine-cell foam pads provide the next level of mechanical filtration after coarse pads, removing smaller suspended particles and producing polished, clear water. The dense pore structure captures fine debris, tannins, and floating algae cells that pass through coarser media, resulting in exceptional water clarity in display tanks and breeding setups.

In breeding applications, fine foam panels placed over an internal filter intake prevent newly hatched fry and juvenile shrimp from being drawn into the filter. The foam surface also provides an ideal colonisation medium for the dense populations of beneficial bacteria needed in high-stocking systems.

The standard sheet dimensions allow easy customisation for any filter housing or application. Always cycle new fine foam in a running filter for 4–6 weeks before using in a system where biological filtration capacity is critical.
