Aquatic Ficus pumila var. minima

Ficus pumila var. minima is a dwarf cultivar of the creeping fig, naturally adapted to cling to moist rock faces and tree bark in humid subtropical Asia. In paludariums and wet terrariums it spreads as a dense, self-clinging mat across driftwood, rock, and background panels above the waterline. Its tiny, heart-shaped leaves stay compact and vivid green with adequate indirect light and constant humidity. It is not a fully aquatic plant and should be kept emergent or in the splash zone rather than fully submerged.
