Bacopa salzmannii 'Purple'

Bacopa salzmannii 'Purple' is a Brazilian Bacopa variety valued for the striking violet-to-purple colouration of its leaf undersides, which contrasts beautifully with the green topside when viewed from below or at an angle. The tissue culture form ensures a clean start without pests. Growth form is similar to other Bacopa species — upright, columnar, and moderately paced — but the colour sets this plant apart as a distinctive focal point. High light intensifies the purple pigmentation; under lower light it may fade to green. CO2 supplementation is beneficial but not required. Works beautifully as a midground or background accent plant, particularly between green and red stem plants where its cool purple tone provides a striking transition colour.
