Bar Airstone 10cm

The Bar Airstone 10cm is a rectangular bar-format airstone that produces a linear curtain of fine bubbles, offering a different aesthetic and functional profile compared to round airstones. At 10cm in length, it suits small to medium aquariums and can be positioned along the rear wall of a tank to create a backdrop of rising bubbles without obstructing the front viewing panel.

Bar airstones are particularly popular in community tanks where a gentle wall of bubbles along the back glass enhances visual depth and provides consistent lateral water circulation. The rising bubbles also drive surface agitation and gas exchange along the full length of the stone, which can be more effective than a point-source round airstone in narrow or rectangular tanks.

The bar format requires the stone to be held flat against the substrate or rear glass, typically using suction cups or an airline sinker. Even pressure distribution requires a pump with sufficient output to push air evenly along the entire 10cm length without channelling through weak spots.
