Bar Airstone 20cm

The Bar Airstone 20cm extends the linear bubble curtain effect to medium-sized aquariums, producing a visually impressive wall of fine bubbles along the rear or side glass. At 20cm, it suits tanks from 60 to 150 litres particularly well, covering a meaningful portion of the rear wall in standard tank dimensions and providing thorough aeration along its full length.

The linear form is ideal for aquariums with a wide footprint where a round airstone would only aerate a small central area. The bubbles rise uniformly from the stone, creating gentle lateral circulation that keeps oxygenated water moving across the tank without creating powerful currents that might stress delicate fish.

A moderately powerful pump of 4–6L/min is recommended to ensure even airflow distribution across the full 20cm length. Insufficient pressure causes channelling where air escapes through a few weak spots rather than evenly along the bar. The stone should be mounted flat using suction cups or laid along the substrate with a sinker.
