Battery-Powered Air Pump

The Battery-Powered Air Pump is an essential piece of emergency and travel equipment for any fishkeeper, providing reliable aeration when mains power is unavailable. Running on standard AA batteries, it can maintain oxygen levels in a container or tank for several hours, making it indispensable during power cuts, fish transport, and temporary holding situations.

It is particularly valuable for keeping fish alive during long car journeys when transporting livestock from a shop or auction, and for use at outdoor events, pond fish shows, or temporary displays. The compact size fits easily in a bag or tackle box alongside other transport equipment.

The output is typically sufficient for a single airstone in a transport bag, bucket, or small tank up to approximately 30 litres. Battery life varies with the type and freshness of batteries used, but most units deliver 4–8 hours of continuous operation on a fresh set. This pump is not intended to replace a mains-powered pump for regular use.
