Black Rose Shrimp

The Black Rose Shrimp is one of the darkest and most visually striking Neocaridina colour morphs available, bred through selective pressure for maximum melanin expression across the entire body including legs and tail. Top specimens display an almost matte, velvet-black opacity that contrasts stunningly against bright green plants and pale substrates.

Despite its premium appearance, the Black Rose is as tough and easy to keep as any standard Neocaridina. It thrives in moderately hard, neutral to slightly alkaline water and adapts readily to typical tap water conditions in most regions. Females grow slightly larger than males and carry clutches of dark eggs under their tails.

Black Rose Shrimp are ideal for aquascapers who want a bold focal point invertebrate without the demanding water chemistry requirements of Caridina species. They breed prolifically in stable conditions and colonies establish quickly.
