Blackwater Extract – Humic & Fulvic Acid Concentrate 250ml

Humic and fulvic acids are the defining chemical signature of natural blackwater rivers such as the Rio Negro, Rio Xingu, and Peat Swamp rivers of Southeast Asia. These organic acids are produced by the decomposition of plant matter and create the dark amber water that many prized fish and plants have evolved to inhabit.

This concentrated liquid extract delivers humic and fulvic acids directly to the aquarium, gradually softening and acidifying the water, enhancing colour expression in fish, reducing pathogen pressure, stimulating plant root growth, and chelating trace minerals to improve bioavailability.

For planted tanks the humic acids act as a natural chelating agent for iron and other micro-nutrients, extending their availability in the water column. For fish and shrimp the acids mimic the biochemical cues of natural habitats, promoting breeding behaviour, stress reduction, and improved immunity.
