Blue Moscow Guppy Male

The Blue Moscow Guppy is one of the most celebrated show strains, originating from selective breeding programs in Eastern Europe. Males develop a uniformly deep metallic blue body with a large, flowing delta tail that shimmers brilliantly under aquarium lighting.

Moscow strains are generally hardy and adaptable but reward the keeper who maintains stable, hard alkaline water with superior colour expression. Males reach full colour by three to four months of age.

Best displayed in species or strain tanks to maintain line purity, though they can be kept in peaceful community aquariums with small, non-nippy companions.
