Breeding Conditioning Food Mix

Breeding Conditioning Food Mix is a specialist diet formulated to prepare fish for successful spawning. The combination of premium marine proteins from krill meal and fish meal provides the amino acid profile needed for healthy egg and sperm development, while spirulina adds natural carotenoid pigments that enhance colour and support immune function.

Vitamins E and C are included at elevated levels because both are critical to reproductive health in fish: Vitamin E supports egg quality and fertilisation rates, while Vitamin C enhances immune competence in both adults and developing embryos. The mix contains both finely ground flake and micro-pellet components, making it suitable for a wide size range of breeding fish from small tetras to medium cichlids. Feeding for 2–4 weeks before introducing the breeding pair is recommended.
