Brown nutrient-rich planted soil replicates the earthy forest-floor substrate found along tropical river margins, delivering organic matter, humic acids, and essential macro and micronutrients in a ready-to-use form. Its warm brown tone suits natural-style aquascapes and woodland biotope designs where a dark, inert substrate would look out of place.

The fine porous granules allow root tips to penetrate easily while holding moisture and dissolved nutrients close to the rhizosphere. The slight acidic buffering capacity benefits the majority of South American and Southeast Asian plant species. At a 5 cm depth, one 3-litre bag covers roughly 30 × 20 cm, making it a practical choice for a planted nano or 60-litre community tank.
