Brownstone natural gravel brings the warm, organic aesthetic of a tropical river bed into the home aquarium. Each stone is water-tumbled to a smooth, rounded profile that is completely safe for bottom-dwelling species, and the warm brown, tan, and rust tones blend naturally with driftwood, natural rock, and green or red aquatic plants.

The 3–5 mm medium grain size creates a substrate that is easy to maintain with a standard gravel vacuum while still being substantial enough to resist displacement by moderate water flow and digging cichlid species. Chemically inert, brownstone gravel will not alter pH or water hardness, making it suitable for the full range of freshwater aquarium water chemistry. The earthy palette suits natural river biotopes, Amazonian setups, and African savanna-themed tanks equally well.
