Bucephalandra 'Silver Bullet'

Bucephalandra 'Silver Bullet' is immediately distinctive among the predominantly dark-toned Bucephalandra cultivars by the silvery-grey quality of its leaves — a cool, metallic base colour overlaid with a shimmering metallic iridescence that reflects light with exceptional clarity. The effect under LED lighting is reminiscent of polished platinum or mercury, a cool, technological beauty that contrasts dramatically with the organic textures of rocks, driftwood, and green plants.

The silvery colouration is most intense on young to mid-age leaves and tends to develop a slight greenish tinge on fully mature foliage, but even mature leaves retain an attractive metallic sheen. The plant grows at a modest pace typical for the genus on a compact, slowly creeping rhizome.

'Silver Bullet' works exceptionally well in modern, minimalist aquascape designs where its metallic quality complements architectural hardscape arrangements.
