Bucephalandra sp. "Motleyana"

Bucephalandra motleyana is one of the most widely cultivated species in the Bucephalandra genus and is often the entry point for hobbyists discovering the group. Its broad, smooth, elliptic leaves have a subtle blue-green iridescence and grow on a thick, branching rhizome. It tolerates a wider range of water conditions than many specialty plants and responds well to varied lighting intensities. Mature plants develop a creeping colony that can span a significant stretch of driftwood, producing occasional white-spathe flowers.
