Check Valve – Pack of 2

Check valves are a critical safety component for any air-powered aquarium equipment. Positioned in the airline between the air pump and the tank, they allow air to flow in only one direction — from the pump toward the tank. If the power fails or the pump is placed below the waterline, the check valve prevents tank water from back-siphoning through the tubing and flooding or burning out the pump motor.

This pack of two valves ensures both a primary installation and an immediate spare. The compact inline design is unobtrusive and fits between any two sections of standard airline tubing. The spring-loaded one-way flap is reliable across years of continuous use.

Any fishkeeper with an air pump positioned at or below the waterline should consider check valves non-optional equipment.
