The Chihiros A Series has long been the recommended entry point for aquascapers seeking performance above what basic clip-on LEDs can deliver without spending on flagship models. The A301 variant is sized for 25–35 cm aquariums and produces a clean, neutral white output with supplementary red, green, and blue channels that enhance plant colouration and bring out the vivid hues of nano fish. The extruded aluminium housing acts as a passive heatsink, maintaining LED junction temperatures and preserving output intensity over the product lifespan.
PAR values at the substrate of a standard 25–30 cm deep aquarium are sufficient to support moderate light demand plant species including most stem plants, background carpets, and midground rosettes without CO2 injection. For a CO2-injected high-tech setup, the A301 comfortably supports demanding foreground carpets such as Hemianthus callitrichoides and Eleocharis acicularis at appropriate CO2 and fertiliser levels. The included inline dimmer allows intensity adjustment from approximately 10–100%.
