The Cichlid Specialist Tank Kit 120L is curated specifically for the demanding water chemistry, territorial behaviour, and heavy bioload requirements of cichlid fishkeeping. The kit includes a high-turnover internal or canister filter rated for cichlid-level waste production, a mineral buffer to raise GH and KH for African rift lake species or a pH-stabilising product for Central American species, a bag of coarse cichlid sand or gravel, and a selection of ceramic rock caves or resin cichlid decor for territory establishment.

At 120 litres, the tank can house a species group of African Malawi mbuna, a pair of large New World cichlids, or a community of smaller Central American species such as firemouths and convicts. The included filtration provides 8–10 times hourly turnover, critical for maintaining water clarity under the significant bioload of cichlid communities. The rock decor establishes visual territory boundaries that reduce aggression and permit multiple males to coexist.
