Clay-Based Root Tabs 20-Pack

Clay-based root tabs are the most effective way to feed rooted aquatic plants that obtain the majority of their nutrients through their root systems. Made from nutrient-enriched compressed clay, each tab is pressed into the substrate near plant roots where it slowly releases a complete macro and micro nutrient profile over three to four months.

Plants such as Amazon swords, crypts, vallisneria, and large aponogetons respond dramatically to substrate fertilisation, producing broader leaves, denser root systems, and richer colouration. The clay matrix holds nutrients in the substrate rather than releasing them rapidly into the water column, making root tabs highly efficient with minimal waste.

The 20-pack covers a 60–80cm aquarium at the recommended spacing of one tab every 15cm. They can be placed at setup or added to established tanks at any time without disturbing plant roots significantly.
