CO2 Ladder Diffuser

The CO2 ladder diffuser is a clever passive dissolution device that uses a series of ascending stepped chambers to extend the contact time between CO2 bubbles and aquarium water. CO2 bubbles enter at the bottom of the ladder and rise through each chamber, dissolving progressively as they travel upward. By the time gas reaches the top of the ladder, a significant proportion has dissolved into the water, making this one of the more efficient passive diffusion methods available for smaller tanks. The clear acrylic construction is unobtrusive and allows the dissolution process to be observed. No pump or powerhead is required, making the ladder diffuser a self-contained in-tank CO2 dissolution solution.
