Cryptocoryne griffithii

Cryptocoryne griffithii is endemic to the river systems of Sarawak, Borneo, growing submerged in soft, acidic streams filtered through dense rainforest. It produces large, broadly oval dark green leaves with a distinctly rough, pebbly surface texture and a contrasting reddish-brown underside that is revealed when leaves catch the light. It is a demanding species that rewards dedicated aquarists willing to maintain stable soft-acidic conditions, and it is among the most collectible of all Cryptocoryne species.
