Cryptocoryne retrospiralis

Cryptocoryne retrospiralis is one of the taller, more slender Cryptocoryne species, with linear leaves up to 40 cm long that show a distinctive subtle spiral twist along their length. Native to river margins in India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, it grows in both deep and shallow water, giving it broad adaptability. In the aquarium it creates a flowing, naturalistic background or midground curtain. It is one of the easier large Crypts to keep, tolerating a wide range of water parameters, and spreads slowly but steadily.
