Cryptocoryne usteriana

Cryptocoryne usteriana comes from the Philippines and is among the largest Cryptocoryne species known, with broad, bullate, dark-green leaves that can reach 60 cm long in optimal conditions. The leaf surface is strongly ruffled and textured, giving each leaf a hammered, sculptural quality. Despite its impressive size, it grows slowly and is tolerant of low light and a wide range of water conditions, making it suitable for low-tech planted tanks in large aquariums. It requires patience — months may pass before it settles and begins producing new leaves.
