Danio aff. dangila 'Striped'

Danio aff. dangila 'Striped' is an undescribed or informally designated variant of the dangila species complex, closely related to Danio dangila, the Moustached Danio of northeast India and Bangladesh. This form is distinguished by particularly bold, well-defined horizontal stripes along the flanks, creating a more graphic pattern than the typical dangila form. It is a larger danio, reaching up to 15 cm, and requires a spacious aquarium of at least 120 L. In the wild the dangila complex inhabits rivers and streams with good flow, and in the aquarium moderate water movement and a large open swimming area are required. It is entirely peaceful and can be mixed with other large, robust community fish. Feed on a varied diet of high-quality flake, pellets, and frozen meaty foods.
