Danio albolineatus Longfin

The Longfin Pearl Danio combines the enduring appeal of Danio albolineatus with dramatically extended, veil-like fins in the dorsal, caudal, and paired fins. The underlying iridescent blue-green and pearl sheen of the standard Pearl Danio is fully retained, but the elongated finnage adds an entirely new dimension of elegance to the school. This captive-bred morph is as hardy as the base species once established but requires gentler water movement to avoid fin damage and exhaustion. Water flow should be produced by a spray bar directed at the surface rather than directly at the fish. All other care parameters are identical to standard Danio albolineatus: cool to tropical temperatures, undemanding water chemistry, and a varied diet of flake, pellets, and frozen foods. Avoid fin-nipping tankmates.
