The Dennerle Nano Cube 20L steps up from the entry-level 10L to provide a slightly larger canvas — enough volume to keep a small group of nano fish alongside shrimp, or to create a more elaborate planted aquascape with multiple species of foreground, midground, and background plants. The 25 x 25 x 30 cm footprint is still compact enough to fit neatly on a desk or shelf, yet gives an aquascaper meaningfully more layout depth than the 10L cube.
Low-iron Clearglass construction ensures that greens appear as vivid emerald tones rather than the blue-green tint common in standard glass, and reds in fish colouration and red stem plants are rendered with greater accuracy. The extra 10 centimetres of height compared to the 10L cube enables taller hardscape elements such as dragon stone pillars or upright driftwood branches, adding a sense of scale to the composition.
The open-top configuration accepts Dennerle's own Nano range of corner filters, heaters, and lighting, as well as most third-party nano equipment. At 20 litres, this tank strikes an excellent balance between the stability advantages of a larger water volume and the tight, intimate scale that makes nano aquariums so visually compelling.
