Drip Line – Slow Acclimation

The slow drip acclimation line is a more precise version of the standard acclimation drip kit, designed specifically for the most sensitive aquarium inhabitants. Its micro-bore construction and fine-adjust flow restrictor allow the keeper to dial in flow rates as low as one drop every two seconds, far slower than a standard gang valve can reliably achieve.

This ultra-slow rate is especially valuable for caridina shrimp such as Crystal Reds and Bee shrimp that experience severe osmotic stress from rapid parameter changes, for newly collected wild-caught fish, and for corals and invertebrates being moved between tanks with different salinity or chemistry.

The restrictor is set by turning a small dial, allowing repeatable settings once the ideal drop rate for a given species has been established.
