Eriocaulon parkeri

Eriocaulon parkeri is native to the coastal plain wetlands of the northeastern United States, where it grows in shallow, soft, acidic tidal and non-tidal waterways. It shares the genus's demand for high light and CO2 but differs in its preference for cooler temperatures compared to tropical Eriocaulon species. Its compact, low rosettes of narrow green leaves form slowly but densely in good conditions. It is valued in specialist circles for its geographic rarity in cultivation and its unusual temperate ecological origin.
