Eriocaulon quinquangulare

Eriocaulon quinquangulare is native to shallow wetlands across South and Southeast Asia and is one of the most widely used Eriocaulon species in competitive aquascaping. Each plant forms a tight, symmetrical star of narrow, bright green leaves radiating from a central crown. It demands soft, acidic water, high light, and pressurised CO2 to thrive long-term; in suboptimal conditions it slowly declines rather than adapting. Groups of three to five plants spaced 3–4 cm apart create a refined foreground detail that reads as both natural and precise.
