Feeding Tube

The feeding tube solves the challenge of getting food to shy or bottom-dwelling species in a community tank where more aggressive fish intercept food at the surface before it sinks. By inserting the tube through the water column and releasing food near the bottom, the keeper can target corydoras, plecos, loaches, and nocturnal catfish directly.

The clear material allows the keeper to see the food travelling down the tube and confirm it has been delivered to the correct location. The 35mm diameter opening accommodates most tablet, wafer, and frozen food sizes, while the smooth interior prevents food from catching.

Regular bottom feeding using a tube also helps maintain better water quality, as food is consumed quickly near the substrate rather than decomposing in a corner away from the filter intake.
