Fine Coral Sand (5kg)

Fine coral sand is produced from sustainably harvested coral skeletons ground to a consistent fine particle size. As the sand slowly dissolves, it releases calcium carbonate into the water, raising pH, KH, and GH — parameters that marine invertebrates, reef corals, and African cichlids from Lake Malawi, Tanganyika, and Victoria require to thrive.

The bright white colouration brightens the tank significantly and reflects light upward through corals and inverts. The fine grain size creates natural-looking sandy flats that many marine fish species, including jawfish and gobies, excavate for nesting territories. In freshwater cichlid setups, the sand mimics authentic rift lake shoreline environments. A 5-kilogram bag covers a 40 × 30 cm section at 3 cm depth.
