Flat Substrate Heating Mat 15W

The Flat Substrate Heating Mat 15W is a low-profile heating pad designed to sit beneath an aquarium or terrarium, warming the substrate gently from below. This bottom-up heating approach promotes the convective flow of water through the substrate, delivering nutrients to plant roots and discouraging the formation of anaerobic cold pockets in the gravel bed.

The mat is constructed from durable PVC-coated heating wire laminated between two waterproof layers, keeping it safe in damp aquarium cabinet environments. At 15 watts, it provides a modest temperature boost of approximately 2–4°C above ambient for small tanks up to 60 litres.
