The Fluval C3 is the mid-range model in Fluval's C-series hang-on-back filter lineup, engineered for aquariums between 75 and 150 litres. Its standout feature is the trickle chamber — a section of the return path where water cascades over biological media exposed to the air, supercharging aerobic bacterial colonisation and promoting efficient ammonia and nitrite conversion. At 500 litres per hour and 9 watts, the C3 delivers strong flow with minimal power consumption. The five-stage filtration sequence includes mechanical foam, activated carbon, biological foam, bio-screen, and the trickle bio-stage, providing thorough water treatment in a rear-mounted footprint. Easy clip-on installation and a self-primer make it suitable for aquarists of all experience levels.
