Fry Growth Formula Pellets

Once fry are large enough to accept solid food — typically from 10 to 14 days of age depending on species — transitioning from live foods to a high-quality prepared pellet is important for sustainable, scalable rearing. These 0.3–0.5mm micro-pellets are formulated with a 50% protein content from marine protein sources and an elevated lipid level to support the exceptionally rapid growth rate of juvenile fish.

The pellet size is calibrated to match the mouth gape of most freshwater fry at the 2-week stage, and the pellets soften rapidly in water to allow easier ingestion. Carotenoid pigments from natural astaxanthin sources are included to begin developing the species-typical colouration that makes juvenile fish saleable at the earliest possible age. The pellets sink slowly, making them accessible to mid-water and bottom-feeding juveniles alike.
