Rasbora caudimaculata is the largest of the 'scissortail' rasboras, widely distributed across the river systems of the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo. Its deeply forked caudal fin with contrasting black-and-white patterning makes it immediately recognisable; a school in full motion appears to flash like signal lights. Despite its size, it is entirely peaceful and mixes well with other large community fish, though small tankmates may be eaten.
