High-Range pH Test Kit

The High-Range pH Test Kit is formulated for aquariums that maintain alkaline water parameters, including Rift Lake cichlid setups, brackish biotopes, and full marine systems. The reagent produces a distinct colour gradient across the 7.4–8.8 pH range, where standard freshwater kits lose resolution.

The kit includes a glass test tube, a dedicated high-range colour comparator card, and reagent for approximately 250 tests. Colour development takes under 90 seconds and provides clear differentiation at critical thresholds such as 8.1–8.3 for reef aquariums.

Alkaline pH stability is directly linked to carbonate hardness, so results should always be interpreted alongside KH readings. Regular use prevents the gradual acidification common in heavily stocked cichlid tanks and saltwater systems.
