Iron Chelate DTPA Solution 250ml

DTPA-chelated iron is the preferred iron source for planted aquariums with a pH up to 7.5. Unlike EDTA chelates, which break down above pH 6.5, DTPA maintains iron in a soluble, plant-available form across the pH range most common in community and hardwater planted tanks.

Iron is an essential micro-nutrient involved in chlorophyll synthesis, enzyme activation, and electron transport chains within plant cells. Deficiency is visible as interveinal chlorosis on new growth — young leaves turn pale yellow or white while older leaves remain green.

This solution provides iron at a 2% concentration, allowing small, precise doses. It is compatible with most liquid fertiliser regimens and can be dosed alongside trace element mixes without interaction. Safe for fish, shrimp, and snails at recommended doses.
