Iron Chelate EDTA Solution 250ml

EDTA-chelated iron is the traditional and economical iron source for planted aquariums maintained at acidic to neutral pH. EDTA chelation keeps iron soluble and plant-available in soft, acidic water but begins to release iron as an insoluble precipitate above pH 6.5, making it most suitable for blackwater, Amazonian, and Southeast Asian biotope planted tanks.

In the right environment, EDTA iron is highly effective and cost-efficient. The 2% concentration allows precise dosing, and the clear solution adds no colour or turbidity to the water. It works well as part of a two-part fertiliser system alongside a macro solution.

Iron is critical for chlorophyll production and overall plant health. This product is particularly well suited to tanks housing acidophilic plants such as Rotala, Ludwigia, and Eriocaulon that demand low pH conditions.
