The JBL ProCristal UV-C 11W delivers high-intensity ultraviolet sterilisation for larger aquarium systems, handling flow rates of up to 800 litres per hour with its 11-watt UV-C lamp. The inline design connects seamlessly into standard 12/16mm or 16/22mm filter tubing, making integration with external canister filters straightforward. At optimal flow speeds, the UV exposure time is sufficient to neutralise green algae cells, common bacteria, and free-floating stages of fish parasites such as Ich and velvet. It is an effective preventative tool for maintaining water clarity and reducing pathogen load in densely stocked or disease-prone systems. Bulb replacement is recommended annually to sustain peak germicidal performance.
