JBL ProCristal UV-C 5W

The JBL ProCristal UV-C 5W uses a 5-watt ultraviolet lamp to irradiate water passing through its chamber, destroying the DNA of free-floating algae, harmful bacteria, and parasitic organisms without the use of chemicals. Effective at flow rates up to 400 litres per hour, it is suitable for aquariums ranging from small community tanks to moderately sized setups. The inline design allows easy integration into existing external filter pipework or a dedicated pump circuit, keeping it invisible within the cabinet. Regular UV exposure dramatically reduces the risk of green water outbreaks and can help limit the spread of common fish diseases. The UV bulb should be replaced annually to maintain sterilisation effectiveness.
