King Kamfa Flowerhorn

The King Kamfa represents the pinnacle of selective Flowerhorn breeding, combining traits from multiple cichlid lineages to produce a fish of exceptional visual impact. Males develop a massive rounded kok (nuchal hump) that can exceed the depth of the body itself, while the body displays dense pearl scaling, vivid red-orange pigmentation, and distinct black lateral markings. The characteristic sunken white pearl eyes are a hallmark trait of the Kamfa lineage.

Like all Flowerhorns, the King Kamfa is a solitary fish that demands its own aquarium. It is highly interactive and will often follow its owner around the tank, responding to movement outside the glass. This personality, combined with its spectacular appearance, makes it one of the most sought-after ornamental cichlids in the hobby.

Care requirements centre on excellent water quality and a high-protein diet. Regular large water changes and a powerful filtration system are essential to sustain growth and colour development. The fish is intolerant of poor water conditions and will fade or develop HITH (hole-in-the-head) disease if maintained suboptimally.
